abdallah, sarah
Sarah Abdallah is a current junior at Arizona State University studying Fashion Design with a certificate in Sales and Marketing Essentials. Sarah found her love for fashion while trying to find her confidence and inner beauty. She began designing dresses at the age of 5 because of the freedom and independence she felt while wearing them and she took that mindset and found her love in designing elegant evening wear. When designing, Sarah really focuses on recreating the “main character running through her castle in the middle of the night because she can” vibe. Sarah uses that theme and incorporates it into each design she creates. Sarah’s main goal is to instill confidence into every individual that wears her designs because clothing should be the one thing that can always help an individual feel expressive and confident in themselves.

Allie fell in love with fashion in high school and her passion only grew from there. Experimenting with recycled fabric is something that Allie is enthusiastic about. As a designer, she loves to create garments that make someone feel confident, daring, and want to spin around when they wear them. danko, katherine
Katherine started at a young age, creating clothing lines with scraps of fabric from Grandma's and a rather rusty sewing machine. Her love for aesthetics came over the years through extensive travel around small-town America. She wants her work to be unique but practical, classic enough to last through the years, and casual enough to wear often. With a recently discovered love for technical design, she hopes to pursue a career with a focus in the digital world of fashion. She has a passion for sustainability, she wants to help everyday people love what they wear and how they wear it without feeling the need to purchase something new once a week.

DAVIS, ABIGAIL
Inspiration struck from the effortless glamor of roman male and female sculptures that have stood the test of time conjoining with the modern androgynous silhouettes that serve to dress any form. A key driver in the design process is the passion to design pieces that are built to last and inspires people to choose sustainably inclusive designs over excess consumption. As a designer, my desire is to establish a brand with a foundation built to celebrate size inclusion, diversity, and sustainability within fashion. This collection speaks to roman sculpture aesthetics with a warm and cozy color palette that will add timeless but contemporary pieces that will be transeasonal to one's fall/winter wardrobe.

GRIER, RIA
Ria Grier has been designing ever since she could pick up a pencil. Her skills stemmed from her ability to draw where she learned and understood how the use of lines and shapes brought a piece together. Her brand articulates a sense of emotion that is perceived through fluid movement expressed by the different use of materials and textures. Yet, designs daringly bold garments that embody what it means to be you before you are ever anybody else’s. Ria explores how the use of colors, shapes, and lines can be exaggerated, yet emphasize strength, beauty, and power on the woman’s form. The use of colors and shades are a key attribute when it comes to her design technique. Ria’s philosophy evokes an emotional attachment geared from the perceptional design. Challenging you to think beyond the typical norms of what it means to be unique and different.

johnson, stephen
Phen is an Arizona native who has moved all over his entire life thanks to the military. As a child, he loved to draw and his family thought he may grow up to be an architect. This is when he also fell in love with clothing. He first learned to sew in elementary school and his love for fashion has only continued to grow. Phen also excelled in sports growing up earning a football scholarship to Iowa State University. Having a reputation for being a little rough around the edges and speaking his mind, his football career didn’t go as expected which led him to join the US Army. He knew this would be a great springboard to where he wanted to be. After his time in the military things came full circle and now Phen is back doing what he loves, designing clothing. He is currently advancing his skills and prepping to launch his own namesake brand. Influenced by the classics, the Italian style, the military, and streetwear, he blends his favorite aspects of each to create designs that are elegant but allow you to express your personality.

Erica Kaufman has always had a passion for the arts, but only recently made her entrance into the fashion industry and the world of design. This passion is directed toward creating designs for the 'everyday woman' who needs a comfortable and functional fit, without having to forgo elegance and style. Her audience isn't necessarily with rich women, but with the average woman who needs something stunning, and comfortable to wear. Silhouettes are chosen to represent the multiple facets of a woman’s personality, strong, dreamy, feminine, active, and much more. MELENDEZ, KAYLAH
Kaylah Melendez grew an appreciation for clothes at a young age during the weekly thrifting trips she would take with her dad on his day off. Kaylah’s dad allowed her the freedom to roam the racks of clothes and buy anything that caught her eye, as long as it was a dollar or less. Now, all grown up, she sees the waste problem in fashion and believes that unwanted textiles can always be turned into something new; repurposed, recycled, or up-cycled. Kaylah’s designs are for the free-spirited creative who values consciously made fashion, and after receiving her BA in Fashion Design, she hopes to work on the design team of a brand that is intentional about designing and producing fashion through sustainable and ethical practices.

MOUTON, DAVID
David (he, him, his) was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He is currently in his 3rd year studying Fashion and is also minoring in Sustainability. He first saw himself as a creative at a young age while attending a Drawing and Painting summer camp. Always following his sketches with an intent stare and slight neck cock, David immediately knew Art & Design is where he found meaning. The elements within environments around him inform his designs, especially elements that are often overlooked. A gum wrapper with a soft mint matte finish. A rock with a faint shimmer when positioned under the daylight at the perfect angle. David finds meaning sparking life in what is considered mundane. Activated by eco-consciousness, David is constantly searching for ways to enliven sustainable design through material, form, details and/or story.

PATTERSON, ELISSA
As a child, Elissa found herself passing time by playing dress-up for hours and searching through her mom’s closet, trying on anything she could reach. From the very beginning, fashion has been a major part of her identity. Because she couldn’t see herself on any career path outside of fashion, she left the Pacific Northwest to start a new chapter at ASU’s fashion program. While Elissa is excited to go out into the real world and begin her career in fashion, being a kid is something she never wants to let go of. She looks back on her childhood with the fondest memories and gets most of her inspiration from childhood nostalgia. One of her favorite ways to express such inspiration is with design. Through the use of layers, masculine and feminine silhouettes, whimsical prints, and vibrant colors, her designs speak to her inner child. Throughout her journey as a designer, she has found excitement in experimenting with proportion and silhouette as gender-neutral design is something she is passionate about. She believes that if you like it, you should wear it, no matter how you identify.

SIGNA, MORGAN
I am Morgan Signa and I am a senior at ASU. For my final collection, I wanted to do a collection inspired by my home state of Arizona. I also wanted to create a collection with a couple of looks that could be worn by anyone. Similar to my fashion sense, I strive to wear gender-neutral clothing or just basic shirts with either a pair of leggings or shorts. My collection is meant to bring anyone happiness when they see the looks or even wear them. After losing my father last year to a heart attack, I try to make every day the best and wear items of clothing that make me happy. Fashion should only bring joy to the world and that is what I hope my collection will do for anyone that sees it.

SOURBECK, BRENDAN
My name is Brendan Sourbeck and I am a Junior in the fashion program at Arizona State University. Although I was introduced to fashion later in life, I have always been design-centric. Thus, upon my graduation, I plan to take a path that leads me to a design-oriented job, at an American-made fashion brand. I gravitate towards texture variance, heavy-weight fabrics, sustainability, and functional utility. Together, these favorite attributes have led me to gain split favoritism between California and Japanese brands.
"I design for the Californian Utilitarian that brings inspiration to and from Japan."
